One-Line Bio


I have experience in both print and online content production, from traditional research and writing skills to modern multimedia and social networking techniques. Because of the deadline-driven environment working for an online news department during the age of instant information, I have the efficiency to work on multiple projects at once.

I assist my news organization by overseeing Web content, writing and editing breaking news for online use, copy editing our online selection and building page views, time spent online and advertising revenue by increasing the information, interactive content and news value of the site daily. I assisted in introducing, implementing and instructing Ledger employees on the use of new media tools like blogging, interactive databases, forum discussions, live chats, podcasts and videos.

This experience has given me a working knowledge of Quark Dispatch, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and all Microsoft Office software. I am comfortable with content management programs (including Saxotech's Publicus), Web site metric and performance software, database management, social networking and video/graphic editing. I am continuing to develop skills in simple coding as well as HTML and Flash.

I have been involved with creating and logging user documentation and style guides for online products and vendors, used by the newsroom and throughout the New York Times Regional Management Group. I have trained newsroom personnel in the use of these products and encourage use of Best Practices.
